GIAN 10 matted smooth R10
The GIAN 10 features a lightly matte texture that bestows the concrete surface with a velvety appearance. The smoothly textured structure offers effective anti-slip properties when used indoors. The GIAN 10 prevents concrete from becoming glossy. This is why architects and contractors sometimes apply this matte texture to the facades of buildings, purely for aesthetic reasons. |

Indicative cost calculation for the price of the GIAN texture imprint
Indicative calculation when applying the GIAN anti-slip texture for concrete elements, such as stairs, balconies, and galleries. (Each project has its own specificities; the mentioned square meter prices are indicative prices and do not account for any potential modification of the concrete mold.) Multiple concrete pours into the concrete mold result in a lower cost of the GIAN concrete texture:

Aquaplaning
While walking, a special form of aquaplaning can occur. Motorists are familiar with this phenomenon. When they drive on a wet highway, a thin layer of water can form between the road surface and the tires. As a result, the car momentarily loses contact with the asphalt and becomes uncontrollable for a short period. Something similar happens when someone walks on, for instance, a wet slippery surface. The thin layer of water between the shoe sole and the flat surface causes an extremely low friction resistance, resulting in a high likelihood of slipping. Aquaplaning on stairs, walkways, balconies, and other walking surfaces can be effectively prevented. The first step in this process is to ensure that water under the shoe sole drains away quickly. Hence, nearly all GIAN structures incorporate small channels into the concrete, allowing the shoe sole to expel water. The second step in the process to provide concrete with optimal anti-slip properties involves combining it with a micro-textured structure. For instance, by employing a GIAN texture mat that imprints a sandblasted texture onto the concrete. The sandblasted texture prevents aquaplaning from even forming. Advice: |
